In South America, Yerba Maté is often called the “drink of the Gods”. You'll be captivated by its slightly bitter taste, which comes from saponins. As many of us need to stimulate our brain and support mental performance daily, Yerba is ideal for regular consumption. A single serving (2–3 tablespoons) can be refilled throughout the day – perfect while working or studying. Thanks to its properties, Yerba Maté has become popular around the world, including Europe, as a healthy alternative to coffee.

How to prepare Yerba?

Yerba can be steeped multiple times without losing its effects. You can make up to 6 brews from a single dose. There’s no need to add new Yerba every time. If you're sensitive to caffeine, start with one tablespoon. For traditional preparation, you'll need a calabash and a bombilla, both available on our e-shop. If you don’t have a temperature-setting kettle, a thermometer will help.

1. If you’re a beginner, use 2–3 tablespoons. Experienced users can go for 4–5 tablespoons.

2. Pour a little cold water to moisten the leaves. Meanwhile, heat water to 70–80°C.

3. Once the water is ready and the leaves are moistened, fill the calabash to the top.

4. Let it steep for at least 3 minutes, then sip through the bombilla all day long.

5. Yerba can be refilled repeatedly until it loses flavor.
