In South America, Yerba Maté is referred to as the "drink of the gods" and impresses with its slightly bitter taste, which comes from saponins naturally contained in the leaves. Yerba Maté is known as a traditional drink containing natural caffeine, which contributes to increased alertness and improved concentration. That is why many people choose it for daily drinking for moments of refreshment and concentration.

How to prepare Yerba?

Yerba can be watered several times without significant loss of Yerba effects. Usually we make up to 6 new infusions for one dose of Yerba. So it is not necessary to give "new Yerba" for every other calabash. If you are sensitive to caffeine, we recommend starting with one tablespoon and then adding more. For the traditional preparation of Yerba Maté, you will need a calabash and a bombilla, which you can also buy in our e-shop. If you don't have a kettle with which you can set the temperature, then feel free to get a thermometer.

1. If you are a beginner, putting 2-3 tablespoons into the calabash is plenty. Forexperienced userscan up to4 - 5 tablespoons.

2. Pour some water into the calabash to wet the Yerba leaves. Meanwhile, bring the water to 70 to 80 degrees.

3. Once the water is ready and the Yerba leaves in the calabash are wet, fill the kettle with Yerba in the calabash to the brim.

4. Let it steep for at least 3 minutes and then you can drink through the bombilla all day long.

5. Yerba can be watered repeatedly until it loses its taste.
