Freeze-dried cherries retain their nutritional value and vitamins thanks to the lyophilization process. Compared to fresh fruits, they have a low weight and a long shelf life (approx. 1.5 years). They have the appearance, taste and aroma of fresh fruit. When in contact with water or moisture, they soften and return to almost their original state.

Uses  

You can consume freeze-dried fruit on its own, or add it to smoothies, muesli, yogurt, cereal porridge, or use it in baking. It is also suitable for RAW recipes.

How to store freeze-dried fruit:

Freeze-dried fruit should be stored at room temperature in the original bag, which you can carefully close or pour into a sealable container. This will keep the fruit crisp and retain its shape for longer.

A partially open bag or container will cause the fruit to draw in moisture, which will cause it to soften. But softened fruit doesn't mean you have to throw it away. On the contrary, you can use it as before, add it to baking, for example, or pour hot water over it and make a delicious tea.
