Product detailed description
We present
SHEA BUTTER, shea butter, African gold or women's gold is obtained from the kernels of the African shea tree, just like SHEA/SHEA OIL. This tree is found in sub-Saharan Africa, where the fruits are harvested in a traditional way. It is used in indigenous traditions, where it is essentially a panacea. Shea trees can reach an age of up to 400 years. In our offer you will find food-grade butter, which is therefore great for both culinary and cosmetic use. It has been gaining popularity in recent years, just like its sibling, shea oil. These products have a different chemical composition. Butter contains a much higher amount of stearic acid, which is responsible for its solid consistency. It is suitable as a substitute for classic butter in both savory and sweet dishes, and is therefore also popular with vegans. In cosmetic use, its excellent tolerability is appreciated, it is suitable for treating and lubricating sensitive and dry skin, even in children.
INCI: Butyrospermum parkii Butter
Physical properties: whitish to yellowish solid fat
Melting point: approx. +36-37°C
Basic ingredients: fatty acids - the main proportion is stearic acid (C18:0) approx. 44%, oleic acid (C18:1) approx. 42% and linoleic acid (C18:2) approx. 8%; vitamins E and A, allantoin, triterpene alcohols, cinnamic acid esters, lecithin
Use
In the kitchen: It is suitable for baking cookies, cakes and other sweets and pastries instead of classic butter (in the same proportion). It is used in the production of high-quality chocolates, where it replaces cocoa butter. It can be used to replace cream or olive oil in the base of sauces. It gives a beautiful aroma to pasta, rice, potatoes or vegetables. It is suitable as a vegetable substitute for regular butter. That is why vegans love it. It has a neutral taste.
Cosmetics: It takes great care of the skin and hair. It supports regeneration, keeps the skin supple and hydrated. It is excellent for very sensitive skin prone to eczema, even in children. Even on its own without perfume, it is great for daily treatment of dry, cracked, irritated skin. Unlike oil, shea butter provides protection for the skin against adverse conditions, especially in unpleasant dry weather, in winter, etc. It is a very gentle vegetable fat with excellent tolerance designed for all skin types.
It dissolves above 37 °C, depending on the product batch. It is suitable for massages - in this case, heat the butter first. Suitable for people with sensitive skin. It is a non-comedogenic oil with an index of 0. It does not create a greasy film. It is an excellent component of regenerative products. It is intended for the treatment of mature, flabby and dry skin, as well as sensitive and receptive skin of children. It adds softness to the products, which is clearly manifested in the restoration of skin elasticity. It can soften the skin (it contains up to 12% unsaponifiable components), restore its elasticity and support the development of functioning tissue. Properly emulsified, it helps stabilize its moisture. Pure shea butter has a natural UV factor of approximately 4. It finds significant application in anti-aging care. You can also use it as a lip balm. It regenerates dry lips and protects them from adverse environmental influences.
If you have trouble spreading shea butter, first apply it to your palms and warm it up. The butter will soften and application will be much easier.
Small lumps may form in products with a higher proportion of shea butter. These are "fat crystals" of stearic acid, which are the basis for packaging other quickly solidifying ingredients. These small lumps would not appear if artificial stabilizers were used, which we do not use. This usually happens in the summer at high temperatures, when the product "flows" during transportation and then slowly solidifies again. Such lumps can look unsightly, but they do not affect the effectiveness of the product.
For animals: Shea butter is also perfect for animals, you can use it to treat sensitive and cracked paw pads or cracked noses, and to lubricate sensitive dry, irritated and eczematous skin.
