It is obtained from rose petals during their distillation in the production of rose essential oil. Rose petals harvested in the morning, when they have the strongest scent, are used for production. The resulting hydrolate is transparent and strongly aromatic. The Persians loved rose water and used it for medicinal and culinary purposes. In Muslim countries, it is used mainly in ceremonies associated with purification practices.
Rose water is used not only in cosmetics, but also in medicine (it has antibacterial and antiseptic effects, in the treatment of acne), in healing, in the production of perfumes and has also found application in cooking (in the production of oriental sweets, baklava, rice dessert, drinks, etc.).
Use
Apply the toning lotion to pre-cleansed skin using a spray bottle or cotton swab. Apply facial oil or lotion to damp skin and massage gently.
